The best way to start training at Aspire Karate School is to come visits our facility in Tumwater Wa. When you arrive, you’ll be able to observe the facilities and possibly watch a class in progress. We welcome visitors all the time. You are more than welcome to ask any questions you may have.
Aspire Karate School accepts everyone from the age of 6 and has no age limit after that. It is always recommended that you speak with your doctor before starting a new fitness regime. Aspire Karate School may require a letter from your doctor in unique circumstances
This is the question that gets asked the most. The short answer is a person can obtain the Black Belt Level within 4.5-5 years. The longer answer is, it all depends on the individual’s commit to classes and practice both at the school and home. All students must train consistently a minimum of 2 days per week. Promotion exams our given periodically and each student must pass the exam to move to the next color belt level. At Aspire Karate School, Belts are earned, they are not never just given.
Aspire Karate School’s program is based off a very traditional Japanese “old school” style know as Shotokan. Because of this, the program teaches three main sections of a class they are Basics, Kata, and Sparring. Attention to detail is a must and is emphasized at Aspire Karate School. Memorization of movements is taught and results in better attention span, listening skills and focus.
The answer is YES! However each child presents their own unique set of issues. Here at Aspire Karate Sensei has worked with students with a variety of issues, and will work closely with the parents, schools, and therapist to assist you in helping your child meet their goals and dreams.
Here at Aspire Karate our Sensei has 43 years of experience in working with children that have varying degrees of anxiety. He is highly skilled and works with parents in helping their children overcome or manage their anxiety.
